Fire-Lite W-SD355. Swift Wireless Smoke Detector.

Fire-Lite W-SD355 Swift Wireless Smoke Detector

The Fire-Lite W-SD355 Swift Wireless Smoke Detector is a reliable, addressable photoelectric detector designed to provide early warning of a fire. Utilizing Fire-Lite’s SWIFT wireless mesh technology, this detector ensures consistent and secure communication with the fire alarm control panel, especially in environments where traditional wiring is difficult or impossible.

Key Features

Advanced Photoelectric Sensing

This smoke detector uses an advanced photoelectric sensing chamber that effectively detects the presence of smoke particles. By sensing changes in light caused by smoke, it provides fast and accurate fire detection while minimizing false alarms.

Wireless Mesh Communication

Thanks to its SWIFT wireless mesh protocol, the W-SD355 communicates reliably with other wireless devices and the control panel. Even if one path is blocked or interrupted, the signal reroutes through alternate wireless nodes. Consequently, this ensures strong and consistent signal integrity.

Addressable Operation

Each unit has a unique address, allowing precise identification of its location within the system. This feature significantly enhances system diagnostics and helps emergency responders locate the source of an alarm more quickly.

LED Status Indicator

An onboard LED offers visual feedback regarding the device’s current state. For instance, it blinks to indicate normal operation, activation, or communication issues, assisting technicians during maintenance or testing.

Applications and Use

The Fire-Lite W-SD355 Swift Wireless Smoke Detector is ideal for historical buildings, high-ceiling spaces, warehouses, or any structure where wiring presents challenges. Additionally, it suits temporary installations or expanding existing systems without running new wires.

Moreover, its compact and discreet design allows installation in both visible and concealed locations without affecting the building’s aesthetics.

Advantages

• Fast Response: Detects smoke quickly for timely evacuation and response.

• Flexible Installation: Wireless design eliminates the need for conduit or cable runs.

• Secure Communication: Mesh network guarantees signal redundancy.

• Code Compliance: Meets NFPA 72 and UL 268 requirements for commercial fire systems.

• Easy Maintenance: Status LEDs and addressability support efficient servicing.
