The Fire-Lite H365HT High-Temperature Heat Detector is an intelligent addressable thermal detector designed for compatible Fire-Lite fire alarm control panels. It uses thermistor-based sensing technology and provides a 190°F (88°C) fixed-temperature alarm threshold for applications requiring a higher operating temperature than standard 135°F heat detectors.
The H365HT is part of Fire-Lite’s H365 Series and uses LiteSpeed communication, rotary decimal addressing, and individual Point ID identification. It is also a direct replacement-family successor to the older H355 Series.

190°F High-Temperature Detection
The H365HT is specifically designed as a high-temperature fixed thermal detector.
Its factory-set alarm threshold is:
190°F
88°C
Unlike the H365R, the H365HT does not rely on rate-of-rise operation. It responds when the monitored temperature reaches its fixed high-temperature threshold.
This makes it useful for environments where normal ambient temperatures may be too high for a conventional 135°F detector.
Thermistor Technology
The H365HT uses advanced thermistor sensing technology for fast and reliable temperature measurement.
The electronic thermal sensor continuously monitors conditions while the detector’s integral communication electronics report device status to the compatible Fire-Lite control panel.
This provides intelligent thermal detection without relying on traditional mechanical heat-sensing elements.
LiteSpeed Communication
The standard white H365HT operates using:
LiteSpeed Protocol
The related:
H365HT-IV
is the ivory version that supports both CLIP and LiteSpeed communication.
This distinction is important when selecting a replacement detector for older Fire-Lite systems that require CLIP compatibility.
Addressable Point Identification
The H365HT uses rotary decimal address switches to establish its individual SLC address.
This allows the fire alarm control panel to identify the exact detector reporting an alarm or other condition rather than identifying only a conventional detection zone.
Each H365 Series detector occupies one address on the compatible Fire-Lite signaling line circuit.
LED Status Indication
The H365HT incorporates two visible LEDs providing a 360-degree viewing angle.
Typical operation is:
Normal: LEDs blink red when polled
Alarm: LEDs illuminate steady red
This provides local visual confirmation of communication and alarm status.
Remote & Magnetic Testing
The detector supports a remote test function from the fire alarm control panel.
It also incorporates a built-in functional test switch that can be activated using an external magnet.
These features simplify routine functional testing and system commissioning without requiring the detector to be exposed to actual high temperatures during every test.
Detector Base Compatibility
The H365HT is a plug-in detector that uses a separate compatible Fire-Lite/System Sensor base.
Compatible configurations include standard detector bases as well as applicable relay, isolator, and sounder bases.
The separate base architecture allows the detector head to be removed for servicing or replacement without disturbing the field wiring.
