FARADAY 8710 PHOTO SMOKE DETECTOR P/N: 500-034800FA

(2) two-wire, plug-in detectors that are compatible with the MPC-6000 and 7000 control panels. Have a dust-resistant, field-cleanable photo chamber and microprocessor-based electronics. All detectors have low-profile, high-temperature plastic covers for maximum protection of components, and use surface mount electronic components for increased reliability. Every smoke detector is shipped with a red, protective dust cover. Smoke detectors utilize an infrared light-emitting diode (IRLED) and a light-sensing photodiode. Under normal conditions, light transmitted by the LED is directed away from the photodiode and scattered through the smoke chamber in a controlled pattern.
