Edwards 4-FT Master Firefighter Handset

The Edwards 4-FT Master Firefighter Handset is a firefighter telephone handset designed for use with Edwards EST4 emergency communication systems. Engineered to provide dependable two-way voice communication during emergency response operations, the Edwards 4-FT allows firefighters and emergency personnel to communicate with remote telephone stations throughout a facility. Therefore, it enhances coordination during fire emergencies while supporting code-compliant firefighter telephone systems in high-rise buildings, campuses, hospitals, and large commercial facilities.

Edwards 4-FT Function

The Edwards 4-FT provides direct voice communication between the EST4 control system and remote firefighter telephone jacks or handsets installed throughout a protected building. As a result, emergency responders can maintain constant communication while coordinating evacuation, fire suppression, and rescue operations. In addition, the handset integrates seamlessly with compatible EST4 audio and firefighter telephone interface modules.

Two-Way Emergency Communication

The 4-FT is specifically designed for emergency responder communications within EST4 systems. Consequently, firefighters can communicate clearly with personnel located at remote telephone stations during emergency events. Moreover, dependable two-way communication improves situational awareness and supports faster decision-making during fire incidents.

Compact Cabinet-Mounted Design

The Edwards 4-FT mounts directly to the inner door of compatible EST4 cabinets and annunciators, occupying only two module spaces. As a result, valuable cabinet space is conserved while providing immediate access to the handset whenever emergency communications are required. Furthermore, the integrated mounting design protects the handset when not in use.

Seamless EST4 Integration

The 4-FT is designed for use with compatible EST4 Audio/Telephone Interface Modules, including the 4-AUDTELS and 4-ANNAUDTEL. Therefore, it becomes part of the complete EST4 emergency communications platform, supporting firefighter telephone operation alongside voice evacuation and mass notification functions. Additionally, integration simplifies installation and maintenance by utilizing a common EST4 infrastructure.

Rugged Emergency Communication Equipment

Manufactured by Edwards, the 4-FT is engineered for dependable operation in mission-critical life safety systems.
