System Sensor SPSCWK-R Outdoor Speaker Strobe

System Sensor SPSCWK-R Outdoor Speaker Strobe: Weather-Resistant Emergency Notification

The System Sensor SPSCWK-R is an outdoor-rated red speaker strobe designed for reliable emergency communication. Built for environments where durability and performance are critical, this model combines clear audio output with high-visibility strobe illumination. Although it does not include the weatherproof back box, it is fully compatible with System Sensor’s WPBB-R or other approved enclosures, making it easy to complete your outdoor installation.

Key Features

Clear, High-Quality Sound Output
The SPSCWK-R provides crisp, intelligible voice messages and tones. This feature ensures that occupants hear and understand alerts even in loud outdoor environments.

Bright Red Strobe Illumination
Equipped with a standard candela (cd) strobe, this device enhances visibility during emergencies. As a result, it offers clear visual alerts that comply with public safety requirements.

Outdoor-Rated Construction
While the weatherproof back box is sold separately, the SPSCWK-R itself is rated for outdoor use when properly enclosed. It withstands harsh weather conditions, including rain, dust, and temperature extremes.

Low Current Draw
The speaker strobe is designed to operate efficiently with a low current draw. This helps reduce overall power demand, especially in large installations.

Universal Mounting Compatibility
This model installs easily with standard electrical boxes and supports both wall and ceiling orientation (when applicable). Once paired with a listed back box, it becomes a rugged and dependable outdoor solution.

Application and Usage

The SPSCWK-R is ideal for outdoor areas that require voice evacuation or general emergency alerting. Typical installations include school campuses, industrial facilities, warehouses, and outdoor gathering areas. Because it supports both tone and voice messages, it adapts well to fire alarm, mass notification, and weather emergency systems.

Keep in mind that it requires a compatible weatherproof back box (like the WPBB-R) to maintain outdoor ratings. Without it, exposure to moisture and debris may compromise performance and violate code.

Installation Tips

• Use only approved System Sensor back boxes for weatherproof protection.

• Mount the speaker strobe securely to prevent vibration and reduce potential audio distortion.

• Ensure correct wiring polarity and power supply ratings during installation.

• Position the unit to avoid direct sunlight where possible, which helps extend its lifespan.

• Perform a full functional test after installation to verify both strobe and speaker operation.

Advantages

• Reliable Outdoor Performance: Operates dependably in various weather conditions when enclosed in a rated back box.

• Clear Alerts: Delivers both audible and visual notifications for maximum safety.

• Energy Efficient: Consumes less current, allowing more devices on a single circuit.

• Flexible Mounting: Compatible with standard boxes and optional weatherproof back boxes.

• Easy Integration: Works seamlessly with System Sensor’s SpectrAlert Advance series.
