System Sensor B200SR-LF-IV Low-Frequency Sounder Base (Ivory)

The System Sensor B200SR-LF-IV Low-Frequency Sounder Base is an intelligent accessory designed to meet modern fire protection standards, especially in sleeping areas. With its 520 Hz square-wave tone, this base supports compliance with NFPA 72 requirements for low-frequency sounders. It features a sleek ivory finish and is fully compatible with System Sensor’s B501BH-series detectors, offering an elegant and reliable fire detection and notification solution.

Because of its compact design and code-compliant sound output, it is ideal for hotels, dormitories, apartments, and healthcare facilities.

Optimized for Sleeping Area Notification

Unlike standard sounder bases, the B200SR-LF-IV produces a 520 Hz tone that penetrates deeper into human hearing, especially for people who are asleep. Studies have shown that this frequency significantly increases the chances of waking sleeping occupants. As a result, it provides better protection during nighttime emergencies.

This feature helps building owners meet life safety codes while improving occupant safety in critical areas.

Flexible Application and Detector Compatibility

This sounder base is compatible with multiple System Sensor intelligent detectors, including the B501BH series. It supports two-wire operation and receives its operating signals directly from the connected fire alarm control panel. Installers can set the tone pattern to Temporal 3 (for fire) or Continuous (for other emergency conditions), depending on system requirements.

This flexibility ensures that the unit integrates seamlessly into both new and existing addressable systems.

Installation Made Simple

The B200SR-LF-IV features a low-profile design and standard mounting footprint, making installation quick and efficient. It supports wiring from the top or side, providing greater versatility in confined spaces. Additionally, it includes tamper-resistant features and is marked for polarity and terminal placement.

This combination of usability and performance ensures that installers save time while maintaining code compliance.

The System Sensor B200SR-LF-IV Low-Frequency Sounder Base delivers life-saving performance in a compact, aesthetically pleasing package. Its 520 Hz low-frequency output, addressable system compatibility, and reliable construction make it the ideal choice for sleeping areas that demand enhanced notification. Whether you’re retrofitting an older system or building a new one from scratch, this base offers dependable protection with code-ready functionality.
