Potter DH24120FDBR Electromagnetic Fire Door Holder

The Potter DH24120FDBR Electromagnetic Fire Door Holder is a semi-flush mount device designed for controlled fire door retention. With dual voltage support (24V or 120V AC/DC), this model offers flexible integration into a wide range of fire alarm and life safety systems. It features a black powder-coated finish for a sleek, durable appearance in modern commercial settings.

Because of its compact design and quiet operation, it fits well in offices, healthcare facilities, schools, and public buildings.

Designed for Code-Compliant Fire Door Control

This fire door holder keeps fire-rated doors in an open position under normal conditions. However, once the fire alarm system activates or power is interrupted, the Potter DH24120FDBR automatically releases the door, allowing it to close and help contain smoke and flames. This function supports life safety code compliance and helps protect both occupants and property.

The unit operates at a low current draw of only 20mA, helping conserve energy while maintaining consistent performance.

Durable Construction and Easy Installation

Built with longevity in mind, the Potter DH24120FDBR Electromagnetic Fire Door Holder features a strong electromagnet and a solid mounting base. Its black powder-coated housing resists corrosion and blends seamlessly into a variety of architectural designs. Because it mounts semi-flush to the wall, it saves space while providing a clean and professional look.

Installers appreciate the straightforward wiring terminals and the included hardware, which reduces labor time.

Flexible Voltage Operation

The device supports both 24V and 120V power inputs, making it suitable for use in both low-voltage and standard electrical installations. This dual-voltage capability simplifies inventory for contractors and reduces the need to stock separate models for different systems.

As a result, facilities teams and installers can standardize across multiple buildings with one universal model.

The Potter DH24120FDBR Electromagnetic Fire Door Holder offers a reliable, space-saving solution for keeping fire-rated doors open under normal conditions and releasing them during alarms. With dual-voltage functionality, energy-efficient operation, and a durable black finish, it’s ideal for modern code-compliant fire protection systems. Whether for new construction or retrofit applications, this door holder combines performance and style in one versatile package.
