System Sensor APA451 Annunciator with Piezo Alert

The System Sensor APA451 Annunciator with Piezo Alert is a remote alarm indicator designed for use with compatible System Sensor duct smoke detectors. The System Sensor APA451 Annunciator combines a bright red alarm LED, green power LED, and an integrated piezoelectric sounder to provide both visual and audible notification of detector alarm conditions. Therefore, it allows facility personnel to quickly identify and respond to alarm events in locations where the detector may not be readily visible.

System Sensor APA451 Annunciator Function

The System Sensor APA451 Annunciator is intended for use with System Sensor 4-wire conventional duct smoke detector applications. As a result, building personnel can receive alarm notification from an accessible location outside the duct or air handling unit. In addition, the annunciator helps support compliance with NFPA 90A requirements for duct smoke detector installations.

Audible Piezo Alert

The APA451 incorporates a built-in piezoelectric sounder that activates during alarm conditions. Consequently, both audible and visual alarm indication are provided from a single device. Moreover, the audible alert improves alarm recognition in mechanical rooms, HVAC equipment spaces, and other service areas.

Visual Status Indicators

The annunciator includes a red LED that illuminates during alarm conditions and a green LED that indicates normal power status. Therefore, technicians and facility personnel can quickly determine detector condition and system status. Furthermore, the visual indicators simplify testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.

Designed for Duct Smoke Detector Applications

The System Sensor APA451 is commonly installed with compatible duct smoke detectors where direct visibility of the detector is limited. As a result, alarm conditions can be monitored from a convenient location. Additionally, the annunciator supports more efficient inspection and maintenance procedures.

Compact and Professional Design

The APA451 mounts to a standard single-gang electrical box and features a compact profile suitable for commercial installations. Consequently, it provides a professional appearance while requiring minimal wall space. Moreover, the device can be installed in corridors, mechanical rooms, and equipment areas.
