Space Age SSU03500 Large Round Heat Detector Guard

The Space Age SSU03500 Large Round Heat Detector Guard is a protective wire guard designed to safeguard heat detectors from accidental damage, vandalism, and impact in demanding environments. The Space Age SSU03500 provides a durable physical barrier around installed heat detectors while allowing proper airflow and detector operation. Therefore, it is an ideal solution for schools, warehouses, gymnasiums, industrial facilities, correctional institutions, and other high-traffic areas where detector protection is required.

Space Age SSU03500 Function

The SSU03500 is designed to protect installed heat detectors from accidental contact and physical damage while maintaining unrestricted detector performance. As a result, facilities can reduce maintenance costs, prevent unnecessary detector replacements, and improve overall fire alarm system reliability. In addition, the guard helps protect life safety devices in areas where equipment, carts, ladders, or recreational activities may pose a risk.

Large Round Detector Protection

The Space Age SSU03500 features a large round design specifically engineered to accommodate a variety of ceiling-mounted heat detectors. Consequently, it provides comprehensive protection while preserving detector accessibility for testing and maintenance. Furthermore, the spacious design minimizes interference with detector operation.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

The guard is manufactured from heavy-gauge steel wire designed to withstand significant impact forces. Therefore, protected detectors remain secure even in harsh environments where accidental contact may occur. Additionally, the durable construction helps ensure long-term protection with minimal maintenance requirements.

Open-Air Design for Proper Detector Performance

The SSU03500 utilizes an open-wire construction that allows unrestricted airflow around the protected detector. As a result, heat detectors can operate normally without compromising response characteristics. Moreover, the open design allows easy visual inspection of the detector during routine maintenance.

Protection Against Accidental Damage

The guard helps protect heat detectors from:

• Ladders
• Maintenance equipment
• Storage materials
• Athletic activities
• Forklifts and carts
• Warehouse operations
• Vandalism
• Accidental impacts

Consequently, facilities can reduce downtime and avoid unnecessary service calls caused by damaged detectors.
