Space Age SSU-MSR-100RVWC Remote Accessory

The Space Age SSU-MSR-100RVWC is an advanced remote accessory designed for compatible Space Age duct smoke detectors, providing remote status indication, detector control, and integrated audible/visual notification from a convenient wall-mounted location. The Space Age SSU-MSR-100RVWC combines alarm, pilot, and fault/trouble LED indicators, key-operated test and reset functions, a lamp/buzzer test, and a sounder/strobe assembly in a single double-gang device. Therefore, it allows maintenance personnel to monitor and control duct smoke detectors without direct access to the detector installed within HVAC ductwork.

Space Age SSU-MSR-100RVWC Function

The Space Age SSU-MSR-100RVWC provides a centralized remote interface for compatible duct smoke detectors. As a result, technicians can perform detector testing, resetting, and status verification from an accessible location, reducing maintenance time and improving system accessibility. In addition, the integrated sounder and strobe provide local audible and visual indication whenever an alarm condition occurs.

Remote Status Indication

The SSU-MSR-100RVWC features three dedicated LED indicators that display detector operating conditions:

• Pilot (Normal Operation)
• Alarm
• Fault/Trouble

Consequently, maintenance personnel can immediately determine detector status without opening HVAC equipment or accessing the detector housing. Moreover, the clear visual indicators simplify routine inspections and troubleshooting.

Key-Operated Test and Reset Controls

The remote accessory incorporates a key-operated Test and Reset switch that helps prevent unauthorized operation while allowing qualified personnel to perform functional testing and detector resets. Therefore, routine maintenance and system verification can be completed quickly while maintaining system security. Furthermore, the built-in lamp and buzzer test verifies proper operation of the indicators and notification components.

Integrated Sounder and Strobe Assembly

The SSU-MSR-100RVWC includes an integrated sounder/strobe assembly that provides immediate audible and visual notification whenever the connected detector enters an alarm condition. As a result, maintenance personnel receive instant local notification in mechanical rooms, equipment spaces, and other monitored areas. Additionally, the combined notification appliance improves awareness during detector testing and alarm events.

Double-Gang Wall Mount Design

The Space Age SSU-MSR-100RVWC is designed for installation on a standard double-gang electrical box with a white cover plate. Consequently, it provides a professional appearance while allowing convenient placement in mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and maintenance areas. Moreover, its compact design simplifies both new construction and retrofit installations.
