Silent Knight SD505-T5. Sampling Tube (5 FT)

Silent Knight SD505-T5 Sampling Tube (5 FT)

The Silent Knight SD505-T5 Sampling Tube (5 FT) provides accurate air sampling for HVAC ducts up to five feet wide. It pairs with Silent Knight duct smoke detectors to monitor airflow and detect smoke particles before they can circulate throughout a facility. This reliable tube plays a key role in maintaining early-warning capability and fire safety compliance.

Because of its precision design and medium length, the SD505-T5 is ideal for standard commercial or institutional applications.

Balanced Air Intake for Consistent Monitoring

This 5-foot tube features a series of evenly spaced holes that draw air across the full width of the duct. That sampled air flows directly into the detector’s sensing chamber, allowing it to analyze real-time conditions inside the ductwork. As a result, the system improves its chances of identifying smoke early—even under variable airflow conditions.

Moreover, by collecting air from multiple points, the SD505-T5 avoids blind spots. This consistency helps reduce the risk of missed detection or false alarms caused by uneven airflow.

Built for Durability and Efficient Installation

Silent Knight constructs the SD505-T5 using rigid, corrosion-resistant materials. This design allows the tube to hold up against pressure shifts, temperature changes, and mechanical stress. Unlike flexible tubing, it maintains its shape and alignment over time, which contributes to long-term detection accuracy.

Installation is fast and straightforward. Technicians simply insert the tube into the compatible duct detector. A sealed end cap ensures all airflow is directed through the sensing chamber, enhancing the system’s overall effectiveness without requiring adjustments or special tools.

Ideal for Mid-Sized Commercial Systems

The SD505-T5 works well in schools, medical clinics, office buildings, and similar facilities. It provides the reach needed to cover a five-foot duct span without adding unnecessary complexity to the system. Therefore, it offers a reliable and efficient solution for fire safety professionals working with typical commercial layouts.

The Silent Knight SD505-T5 Sampling Tube (5 FT) delivers dependable performance for duct smoke detection across medium-width HVAC systems. With its rugged construction, accurate sampling design, and easy integration, it ensures consistent monitoring and code compliance. For fire protection systems that require reliability and simplicity, the SD505-T5 stands out as a trusted component.
