Siemens ST-AMC-CW-MNS-ALERT. Amber Ceiling Strobe.

Siemens ST-AMC-CW-MNS-ALERT (Amber Ceiling-Mount Strobe “ALERT”)

The Siemens ST-AMC-CW-MNS-ALERT is a ceiling-mount amber-lens, multi-candela strobe designed for mass notification/emergency alert systems. It belongs to Siemens’ ST / MNS (Mass Notification System) lineup, optimized for visible alerting across facility ceilings.

It carries the marking “ALERT” rather than “FIRE,” indicating its intended use in emergency notification (versus only fire notification).

Key Features & Capabilities

• Amber Lens
Uses an amber (yellow/orange) lens rather than clear or red; this may help visually distinguish mass notification alerts from fire alarms.

• Ceiling Mount Configuration (“CW”)
Designed for ceiling mounting (rather than wall mounting).

• Multi-Candela (MNS) Settings
The unit supports field-selectable strobe intensity (candela) settings appropriate for its lens and mounting orientation.

• “Alert” Labeling
Marked with “ALERT” to indicate use in mass notification / alert signaling rather than strictly fire alarm mode.

• UL / Listings / Compliance
The device is listed to be used with UL 2572 mass notification systems and meets UL 1638 / 1971 standard requirements for strobe devices.

• Electrical / Current Ratings

  • For the ST-AMC Ceiling versions (amber lens), current ratings (RMS) at various candela settings: approximately 0.069 A, 0.111 A, 0.200 A, 0.264 A (depending on candela setting) in the DC range of 16.0–33.0 VDC.

  • The flash rate is 1 flash per second, meeting ADA / NFPA timing requirements.

• Integration & Synchronization
The strobe can be synchronized with other notification appliances when used with a Siemens DSC sync control or power supplies with the compatible sync protocol.
