Siemens DT-135WP
The Thermal Fire Detectors, a re the rate-compensation / fixed-temperature type sensors. Designed for use with standard Fire Safety systems or other commercially available fire alarm systems.
Each Siemens thermal detector consists of a tubular shell containing two (2), curved expansion struts un der compression fitted. With a pair of normally open (N.O), opposed contact points. Which ar e insulated from the shell. The tubular shell and the struts have a different coefficient of expansion. Wh en subjected to a rapid heat rise, the tubular shell expands and lengthens slightly. The interior struts lengthen, at a slower rate th an the shell. The rapid lengthening of the shell allows the struts to come together. Closing the contact points and initiating the alarm on the control panel.
The tubular shell and the interior struts lengthen at approximately the same rate. At the detectors’ set temperature point of 135°F (57.2°C) or 194°F (90°C). The interior struts a re fully extended, closing the contact points and initiating the alarm at the control panel.
