Siemens AS-HMC-CR-WP Outdoor Ceiling Horn Strobe P/N:500-636181

The Siemens AS-HMC-CR-WP is a weatherproof outdoor ceiling horn strobe designed to provide high-output audible and visual notification for commercial fire alarm systems. Part number 500-636181 identifies the red, high multi-candela, ceiling-mounted weatherproof version of the Siemens AS Series.

The appliance combines an electronic horn with a high-intensity strobe in a single notification device. Its weatherproof construction makes it suitable for exterior and environmentally demanding installations where standard indoor notification appliances are not appropriate.

Product Functions

• Provides audible fire alarm notification
• Provides high-intensity visual notification
• Supports outdoor and weather-exposed locations
• Provides ceiling-mounted notification
• Supports selectable visual output
• Provides continuous horn signaling
• Provides Temporal Code 3 horn signaling
• Supports selectable audible output levels
• Combines audible and visual signaling in one appliance
• Supports synchronized notification systems

Visual Notification Performance

The AS-HMC-CR-WP uses the Siemens high multi-candela ceiling strobe configuration. High-intensity HMC ceiling models provide field-selectable 115 and 177 candela settings, allowing visual output to be configured according to the requirements of the protected space.

Its ceiling-specific light distribution is intended for overhead installation, providing visual emergency notification across commercial spaces, corridors, common areas, industrial environments, and other locations requiring ceiling-mounted signaling.

Audible Notification

The integrated electronic horn supports selectable continuous or Temporal Code 3 operation when constant voltage is supplied from the fire alarm control panel. Siemens AS Series audible appliances also provide three selectable dBA output settings, allowing sound output to be adjusted for different ambient noise conditions.

Weatherproof Construction

The WP designation identifies this model as the weatherproof version of the AS-HMC-CR. Siemens specifically lists model AS-HMC-CR-WP, part number 500-636181, as a high multi-candela ceiling weatherproof horn strobe in red.

The weatherproof configuration is intended for outdoor and environmentally exposed locations when installed using the approved mounting arrangement and accessories specified by Siemens.
