The Siemens ADB-11 is an audible-base detector that contains a pre-wired, audible, and piezoelectric device that produces an 85db signal for localized annunciation. Also, model ADB-11 is design to be use with conventional Series 11 plug-in detectors; as well as Model ADBX-11 is design for use with addressable, analog Model FP-11 and Model FPT-11 detectors.
In general, the Siemens ADB-11 is power by a conventional zone of the system control panel with the operation of the piezoelectric device being control by the detector. Besides, upon alarm to its detector, circuit ground is provide to Model ADB-11, via the base contact; and the audible device is activate, producing an 85db audible signal, which serves as the local alarm.
In addition, Siemens ADB-11 is turn off by the reset of the system control panel. The system control panel guarantees that only one (1) auxiliary or remote device will activate per zone. Furthermore, the addition of a jumper wire between terminals 7 and 8 on the audible base changes the tone from steady to temporal. Model ADB-11 operates with an input-zone power of 17 VDC ─ 31 VDC and requires a 4″ square, 2½”-deep electrical box.
