Notifier FSP-951T Smoke and Thermal Detector

The Notifier FSP-951T is an intelligent addressable smoke and thermal detector designed for use with compatible Notifier fire alarm control panels. The Notifier FSP-951T combines advanced smoke detection with integrated 135°F (57°C) fixed-temperature heat sensing, providing enhanced fire detection capabilities in a single device. Therefore, it delivers dependable protection for commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, and industrial facilities.

Notifier FSP-951T Function

The FSP-951T continuously monitors the environment for both smoke and elevated temperature conditions. As a result, the detector can respond to a broader range of fire scenarios than smoke-only detectors. In addition, the device communicates alarm, maintenance, and status information directly to the fire alarm control panel through the signaling line circuit (SLC), allowing precise identification of detector location and condition.

Advanced Smoke Detection

The Notifier FSP-951T utilizes an enhanced optical sensing chamber engineered to detect smoke produced by a wide range of combustion sources. Consequently, the detector responds effectively to slow-smoldering fires while helping reduce nuisance alarms. Furthermore, the improved chamber design meets modern fire detection performance standards while maintaining dependable operation.

Integrated Fixed-Temperature Thermal Detection

The FSP-951T incorporates dual electronic thermistors that provide 135°F (57°C) fixed-temperature thermal sensing. Therefore, the detector can initiate an alarm condition when excessive heat is present, even in situations where smoke may be limited. Additionally, the thermal sensing feature provides an added layer of protection in areas where both smoke and heat detection are desirable.

Intelligent Addressable Communication

The Notifier FSP-951T communicates using FlashScan® and CLIP protocols, allowing each detector to be individually identified by address. As a result, alarm conditions can be pinpointed quickly, improving emergency response and maintenance efficiency. Moreover, addressable communication enables detailed status reporting and system diagnostics.

Programmable Sensitivity Monitoring

The detector’s sensitivity can be programmed through compatible Notifier control panel software. Consequently, the system can be optimized for specific environmental conditions and occupancy requirements. Furthermore, sensitivity levels are continuously monitored and reported to the panel, helping maintain reliable operation and code compliance.

Rotary Address Switches

The FSP-951T includes rotary decimal address switches for fast and accurate addressing. Therefore, installers can easily assign detector addresses during system commissioning. Additionally, rotary addressing simplifies maintenance and replacement by providing a visible physical address setting.

Dual LED Status Indicators

The detector incorporates dual LEDs that provide full 360-degree visibility of device status. As a result, maintenance personnel and emergency responders can easily identify detector conditions from any direction. During normal operation the LEDs flash when polled, while alarm conditions are indicated by steady illumination.
