Honeywell 5806W3 Wireless Photoelectric Smoke Detector.

Honeywell 5806W3 — Wireless Photoelectric Smoke Detector

The Honeywell 5806W3 is a wireless, battery-powered photoelectric smoke detector with a built-in transmitter, designed to provide reliable fire detection in locations where wiring is impractical or undesirable. It’s part of the Honeywell/Resideo 5800-Series family of wireless devices and works with compatible wireless control panels or receivers to alert the system of smoke, alarm, tamper, maintenance, and low battery conditions.

Key Features & Benefits

• Photoelectric Sensing: Uses a photoelectric detection chamber to sense smoke — especially effective on smoldering fires and less prone to nuisance alarms from cooking or steam compared to some ionization sensors.

• Built-In Wireless Transmitter: Integrates a transmitter that sends alarm, tamper, maintenance (when supported by the panel), and battery status messages to a compatible wireless receiver or panel.

• Battery Operated: Powered by a single 3 V lithium battery (e.g., CR123A), making it easy to install without wiring.

• Advanced Microprocessor: Includes algorithms such as drift compensation and smoothing to maintain proper sensitivity over time and help reduce nuisance alarms and unnecessary service calls.

• Local Indication: Equipped with LED indicators and a built-in horn to provide on-site status and alarm notification.

• Easy Installation: Simple mounting base makes installation straightforward in residential or light commercial wireless applications.
