Gent 34770 Optical Smoke & Heat Detector with Sounder

Gent 34770 Heat Sensor Sounder: Combined Thermal Detection and Audible Alert

The Gent 34770 Heat Sensor Sounder provides dependable heat detection with integrated sounder functionality. Designed for use in addressable fire alarm systems, it offers dual protection by monitoring for temperature changes and delivering an audible warning when necessary.

Key Features

Combined Heat Detection and Sounder
This unit monitors rising temperatures and sounds an alarm from the same device. As a result, it simplifies system design and reduces the need for multiple components.

Fixed Temperature Sensing
The detector activates once a set temperature threshold is reached. This makes it ideal for environments where smoke detection may be unsuitable, such as kitchens or workshops.

Audible Notification
The built-in sounder provides a clear audible alert once activated. This ensures that occupants receive immediate warning, even if visual indicators are missed.

Addressable Compatibility
Fully compatible with Gent addressable fire alarm panels, the device communicates status and activation details in real time. This helps improve monitoring and reduces emergency response times.

Compact and Low-Profile
Its streamlined design allows for discreet installation in various commercial and industrial settings. Despite its compact size, it delivers powerful performance.

Application and Usage

The Gent 34770 is ideal for commercial kitchens, boiler rooms, garages, and industrial environments. These spaces often contain smoke or dust that may trigger false alarms in smoke detectors. By using heat detection instead, the 34770 provides reliable protection in harsh conditions. At the same time, the integrated sounder ensures immediate local alerting.

Installation Tips

Install the device on the ceiling where heat naturally rises. Avoid locations near direct heat sources that might trigger false alarms. Ensure it is correctly addressed and recognized by the fire alarm control panel. After installation, perform functional testing to confirm proper operation.

Advantages

• Combines thermal detection with an audible alert in one unit

• Reduces equipment costs and installation time

• Ideal for high-dust or smoky environments where smoke sensors are less effective

• Integrates fully with Gent addressable systems

• Compact design allows for versatile placement
