The Edwards FX-RLY is an addressable control relay module designed to provide programmable control of external equipment from a commercial fire alarm system. It provides one Form C dry relay contact and can be used for functions such as equipment shutdown, door control, elevator interfaces, fan control, and other auxiliary building operations.
The module can also be wired to provide polarity reversal of its output, giving installers additional flexibility for specialized control applications. Two front mounted rotary switches provide device addressing, while a bi color LED gives clear visual indication of normal communication and active conditions.

Electrical & System Information
The FX-RLY is an analog addressable module that requires one device address on the signaling line circuit. Addressing is configured using two rotary switches located on the front of the module. Supported address ranges depend on the fire alarm control panel, with documentation identifying ranges up to 64 or 127 addresses depending on the panel configuration.
In control relay operation, the module provides one Form C dry contact that changes state when commanded by the fire alarm control panel. When wired for polarity reversal operation, activation of the relay reverses the polarity of the output. The module draws approximately 125 microamps in both standby and activated states.
A bi color status LED provides convenient visual indication during operation. The green LED flashes during normal communication, while the red LED flashes when the module is active.
