Space Age SSU-MR-101/C Multi Voltage Control Relay

The Space Age SSU-MR-101/C is a multi-voltage control relay designed to provide dependable switching and control functions for fire alarm, HVAC, security, lighting, and building automation systems. The Space Age SSU-MR-101/C features a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) relay with a durable enclosed housing and supports multiple control voltages, allowing one relay to serve a wide variety of low-voltage and line-voltage control applications. Therefore, it offers flexibility and reliability for both new installations and retrofit projects.

Space Age SSU-MR-101/C Function

The SSU-MR-101/C is designed to provide relay control between initiating devices, control panels, and connected equipment. As a result, it allows building systems to activate, deactivate, or transfer electrical circuits based on alarm, supervisory, or control conditions. In addition, the relay supports continuous-duty operation for long-term reliability in critical life safety and automation applications.

Multi-Voltage Input Capability

The Space Age SSU-MR-101/C can be energized from several different control voltages, including:

• 24 VDC
• 24 VAC
• 120 VAC
• 230 VAC

Consequently, a single relay model can be used across a wide range of system designs, reducing inventory requirements and simplifying installation planning. Furthermore, installers can select the appropriate input terminals for the required operating voltage.

SPDT 10-Amp Relay Contacts

The SSU-MR-101/C incorporates SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) contacts rated for up to 10 amps resistive load. Therefore, it can be used to control HVAC equipment, notification appliances, lighting circuits, fans, dampers, and other electrical loads. Additionally, the SPDT configuration provides flexibility for normally open and normally closed switching applications.

LED Status Indication

Each relay includes a built-in red LED that illuminates whenever the relay coil is energized. As a result, technicians can quickly verify relay operation without additional test equipment. Moreover, visual indication simplifies troubleshooting, commissioning, and routine maintenance activities.

Polarized DC Input Design

The SSU-MR-101/C features polarized DC inputs for proper operation on direct current control circuits. Consequently, the relay provides dependable performance when installed in fire alarm and security system applications utilizing DC control voltage. Additionally, proper polarity protection helps reduce installation errors.

Protective Enclosed Housing

The “/C” designation indicates the relay is supplied in a protective enclosure. Therefore, internal relay components are shielded from dust and accidental contact during installation and operation. Furthermore, the enclosure simplifies mounting within control cabinets and electrical equipment spaces.
