Edwards 1206B Detector Wire Guard – Durable Protection for Fire Detectors

The Edwards 1206B Detector Wire Guard provides strong physical protection for smoke and heat detectors installed in exposed or high-traffic locations. It prevents accidental impact damage while maintaining full detector visibility and functionality. Because many fire detection devices are mounted in areas where equipment, sports activity, or maintenance tools can cause damage, the Edwards 1206B is a reliable solution for long-term detector safety.

Heavy-Duty Construction for Demanding Environments

This wire guard is constructed from rugged 7-gauge steel wire with a corrosion-resistant zinc-plated finish. As a result, it performs well in both commercial and industrial environments, including warehouses, workshops, and mechanical rooms. Its low-profile design prevents interference with the detector’s sensing ability and does not block the status LED, which allows easy system checks during maintenance.

Fast and Simple Installation

The Edwards 1206B mounts directly to walls or ceilings using three standard screws. Installers appreciate its straightforward design, since it allows access to the detector for testing or cleaning without removing the entire guard. This saves time during inspections and helps maintain system reliability.
