Edwards EG4SVWF Speaker Strobe

The Edwards EG4SVWF is a wall-mounted LED speaker-strobe designed for voice evacuation and fire alarm notification systems. As part of the Genesis LED EG4S Series, the Edwards EG4SVWF combines a high-fidelity speaker with an energy-efficient multi-candela LED strobe in a low-profile white housing with FIRE marking. Therefore, it provides dependable audible and visual emergency notification for commercial, healthcare, educational, hospitality, government, and industrial facilities.

Edwards EG4SVWF Function

The EG4SVWF reproduces emergency voice messages, alarm tones, and evacuation instructions while simultaneously providing synchronized visual notification through its integrated LED strobe. As a result, occupants receive clear emergency instructions and highly visible alarm signaling during fire or emergency events. Additionally, the appliance integrates seamlessly into modern voice evacuation systems.

High-Performance Voice Evacuation Speaker

The Edwards EG4SVWF incorporates a high-fidelity speaker engineered for excellent speech intelligibility. Consequently, emergency announcements are easier to understand, improving occupant response during evacuations. The speaker supports both 25 Vrms and 70.7 Vrms audio systems through a field-selectable voltage switch and multiple wattage taps.

Advanced LED Strobe Technology

The EG4SVWF features high-efficiency LED strobe technology that significantly reduces current consumption compared to traditional xenon strobes. Therefore, more notification appliances can be installed on each notification appliance circuit while reducing power supply and battery requirements. Furthermore, the LED design offers improved long-term reliability and lower operating costs.

Field-Selectable Multi-Candela Output

The integrated LED strobe provides field-selectable light output, allowing installers to configure the appliance for various room sizes and occupancy requirements. Available settings include:

• 15 Candela
• 30 Candela
• 75 Candela
• 110 Candela

Consequently, one appliance can support multiple applications while simplifying inventory and system design.

Field-Selectable Speaker Wattage

The speaker section provides multiple selectable transformer taps, including:

• 1/4 Watt
• 1/2 Watt
• 1 Watt
• 2 Watts

As a result, audio levels can be optimized for room acoustics and ambient noise conditions. Additionally, the selected settings remain visible after installation through the appliance’s viewing window.

Low-Profile Genesis LED Design

The EG4SVWF features the sleek Genesis LED Series design with a compact low-profile appearance. Therefore, it blends into modern commercial interiors while maintaining excellent notification performance. Room-side wiring and a universal mounting plate simplify installation and servicing.
