Edwards 4-COMREL Common Relay Module
Description
The 4-COMREL provides common alarms, common trouble, and common supervisory relay outputs. It also provides connections for end-of-line resistors.
Installation
WARNING: Electrocution hazard. Remove all sources of power and allow stored energy. To discharge before installing or removing equipment.
Caution: Equipment damage. Circuit boards are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). To avoid damage, follow ESD handling procedures.
To install the device:
1. Position the 4-COMREL on the back side of the 4-CPU. And then gently insert the pins on the 4-COMREL into the connector on the 4-CPU.
2. Secure the 4-COMREL using the included hardware.

Wiring Notes
• Common relay wiring is unsupervised and power-limited. Do not connect nonpower-limited wiring.
• For common relay wiring, the end-of-line resistor (EOLR). Determined by the initiating device circuit requirements.
• Maintain 0.25 in. (6 mm) separation between power-limited and nonpower-limited wiring at all times.
• The common trouble relay operation does not include AC trouble delay functionality. Not used for reporting troubles off-premises.
