The Edwards 2447TH-R series is a low current, high decibel, high-quality notification appliance intended for use in fire alarm applications. Also, the horn is a self-synchronized, temporal signal that meets the requirements of NFPA 72. It is suitable for wall or ceiling mounting in outdoor or indoor applications. Both output level and sound pattern are fields selectable. Besides, the unit comes factory set for a temporal signal with a 104 dB output.
The 2447TH-R comes designed for indoor or outdoor wall or ceiling mounting. For flush mounting use a standard 4″ (102mm) square box. For surface mounting, use Cat No. 2459-SMB-R (red) or 2459-SMB-W (white) surface mount box. For weatherproof mounting, use weatherproof surface box Cat No. 2459-WPB-R (red) or 2459-WPB-W (white).
In general, Edwards 2447TH-R temporal horn strobe is specially designed for use with compatible life safety communication and control equipment to alert occupants of a life safety event. The horn emits a piercing low-frequency sound that is easily heard above moderate ambient noise levels. The flash from its strobe can be notice from almost any position in the room, corridor, or large open space.
