System Sensor SPSCWLED-CLR-FIRE — Ceiling-Mounted LED Speaker-Strobe, White Housing, Clear Lens, “FIRE” Marking

The System Sensor SPSCWLED-CLR-FIRE is a ceiling-mounted speaker-strobe appliance from the L-Series (with LED strobe technology) by System Sensor. It features a white housing, a clear lens, and the “FIRE” legend. This unit combines high-fidelity voice/tone audio output with an integrated LED strobe for visual alerting. The LED strobe provides reduced current draw compared to older xenon models, making it more efficient for NAC circuits and power supply planning.

Key Features & Benefits

• LED Strobe Technology: Uses LED lighting to reduce current draw (≈ 40% lower on average compared to older xenon appliances), which allows more devices per circuit and smaller power supply capacity.

• Field-Selectable Candela Settings: For wall/ceiling units in the L-Series, field selectable settings typically include 15, 30, 75, 95, 110, 135, 185 cd.

• Selectable Speaker Line Voltage & Tap Settings: For the speaker portion, supports dual-voltage (25 Vrms / 70.7 Vrms) and selectable wattage taps (e.g., ¼ W, ½ W, 1 W, 2 W) for flexible design in high ambient noise areas.

• Plug-in Mounting Plate & Shorting Spring: The L-Series mounting plate allows installers to pre-wire, test continuity (via shorting spring), and then plug in the device, reducing ground fault risk.

• Compatibility & Retrofit Friendly: Designed for backward compatibility with legacy SpectrAlert and SpectrAlert Advance lines, enabling easier replacement/upgrades.

• Modern Aesthetic & “FIRE” Legends: White housing with a clear lens and “FIRE” marking allows for clean architectural integration while maintaining compliance.

• Test/Diagnostics Feature: Some versions include digital-voltage-meter (DVM) test points for checking voltage without removing the device from the wall/ceiling.
