System Sensor P2RK FIRE Outdoor Horn Strobe

The System Sensor P2RK FIRE Outdoor Horn Strobe is an audible/visible fire alarm notification appliance designed for outdoor wall-mounted applications. It combines an electronic horn with a selectable-output strobe in a red weatherproof housing marked FIRE.

The P2RK is a two-wire notification appliance and is supplied with the appropriate outdoor backbox for standard installations. It supports compatible 12V and 24V notification circuits depending on the selected candela setting.

The lower settings support applicable 12V or 24V operation, while higher candela settings are intended for compatible 24V circuits.

The appliance also provides multiple selectable sound levels, allowing the installer to adjust audible output according to the notification requirements of the protected area.

Outdoor Operation

The P2RK is designed specifically for outdoor and wet-location fire alarm notification applications.

Its published operating temperature range extends approximately from:

-40°F to 151°F

-40°C to 66°C

The complete weatherproof mounting arrangement should be maintained for outdoor use.

Two-Wire Operation

The P2RK uses a two-wire configuration for audible and visible notification.

This allows both horn and strobe functions to operate from a common notification appliance circuit while still supporting synchronized signaling with compatible System Sensor equipment.

Synchronized Notification

The P2RK supports the System Sensor synchronization protocol.

With compatible synchronization equipment, multiple strobes can flash together and horn signaling can be coordinated across the notification circuit.

The strobe operates at approximately:
