The (optional) SK-5205 is a digital dialer that plugs into the Model SK-5204 board. It can seize the telephone lines and activate a trouble alert. If a line failure is sustained for 45 seconds or longer.

Other communications/reporting features include a built-in ring detector, re-try if communication fails. And two phone number capabilities (plus a computer phone for downloading). Optional ground start is available with Model SK-2608. The SK-5205 Dialer is compatible with all major reporting formats. Including SIA (security industry standard), SK FSK(4/2), SK4+2 tone burst, SK 3/1, SESCOA 3/1. And Radionics BFSK. Format selectable by account number.

The Model 5205 Dialer Module enables the 5204 to function as a communicator panel and provides the following features:

Optional two-number dialing with the same or different account codes and reporting formats. Alarms, trouble disables, and tests can b e programmed to report numbers. It is programmed as rotary-only or as rotary/Touch-Tone dialing. Ring Detect feature on line 1 for downloading data from a remote computer site to a panel. Transient voltage protection of phone lines. Automatic daily test (programmable from Model 5230 annunciator, built-in touchpad, or remote site via downloading option). Optional ground start operation (not for use on UL systems).
