Siemens SEH-MC-R Speaker-Strobe

The Siemens SEH-MC-R is part of Siemens’ “HiFi” SEH series of speaker-strobes designed for indoor fire and life safety systems. It delivers both voice/tone output (via a high-fidelity speaker) and visual signaling (via a multi-candela strobe) in one integrated unit. The “MC” indicates multi-candela (field-selectable) strobe capability, “R” indicates the red housing (for FIRE use).

• High-Fidelity Audio Output
  The speaker covers a wide frequency range (300 Hz to 8 000 Hz) for clear voice and tone annunciation—ideal for evacuation or alarm voice messages.

• Multi-Candela Strobe Functionality
  Field-selectable strobe output (for wall-mount models) typically includes 15 cd / 30 cd / 75 cd / 110 cd (and optionally higher 135 cd / 185 cd) settings.

• Selectable Speaker Taps
  Supports 25 Vrms or 70 Vrms speaker line inputs, with power tap options from 1/8 W up to 2 W for flexible sound-level design.

• Universal Wiring & Mounting
  In/out screw terminals accept #12–18 AWG wiring. Mounts flush to a standard 4″ square × 2-1/8″ deep electrical box. Snap-on grille with concealed screws.

• Synchronization Capable Strobe
  The strobe portion is compatible with Siemens’ sync modules (DSC series) and supports synchronized flashing across devices.

• Indoor Use Listing
  Designed for indoor, flush‐mounted installations in commercial, institutional, or high-occupancy venues. Strobe flash rate is ~1 flash per second across the input voltage range.
