Overall, the Transtector CP2341 Transient Protector is recommend for those applications of MXL, MXL-IQ, and IXL that are susceptible to severe lightning transients. Also, the Transtector CP2341 provides extra protection to the basic protection that is provided in both systems as well as not instead of the basic protection. Besides, it is intend for use on 120 VAC power lines.
In addition, in the unlikely event that an overload destroys the CP2341, the module does not pass power to the fire alarm control panel, and immediate replacement of the module is then required for continued operation of the fire alarm panel.
Installation
- See Figure 1 of the datasheet below for mounting hole locations.
- Locate the unit within the enclosure next to the AC input.
