Potter LFHS-177R Low Frequency Horn/Strobe, Red.

The Potter Electric Signal Company LFHS-177R Low Frequency Horn Strobe is designed to provide both audible and visual fire alarm notification in life safety systems. The Potter LFHS-177R Horn Strobe combines a low-frequency 520 Hz horn with a high-output 177 candela strobe. Therefore, it delivers strong alerting capability for code-compliant emergency signaling in commercial and institutional buildings.

Horn Strobe Performance

The Potter LFHS-177R Horn Strobe uses a 520 Hz square wave tone, which is commonly required for sleeping areas and low-frequency notification standards. As a result, it improves wake effectiveness compared to traditional high-frequency alarms. In addition, the horn can be configured for different sound output levels depending on installation requirements.

177 Candela High-Output Strobe

This model features a fixed 177 candela strobe designed for high visibility applications. Consequently, it provides strong visual alerting in large rooms, corridors, and open spaces. Moreover, the strobe ensures compliance with fire alarm visual notification requirements in demanding environments.

Low-Frequency Life Safety Design

Low-frequency horn strobes like the LFHS-177R are specifically engineered to meet NFPA requirements for improved alerting effectiveness. Therefore, they are commonly used in sleeping areas, healthcare facilities, and occupancies where a stronger auditory response is needed. In addition, the temporal 3-tone pattern supports standardized emergency signaling.

Durable Wall-Mount Construction

The LFHS-177R is built for wall-mounted installation in commercial fire alarm systems. As a result, it provides long-term reliability and stable performance in demanding environments. Furthermore, its rugged design supports consistent operation with minimal maintenance requirements.

Applications

The Potter LFHS-177R Horn Strobe is ideal for:

• Hotels and lodging facilities
• Healthcare environments
• Schools and universities
• Commercial buildings
• Industrial facilities
