Gentex GCS24CR Ceiling, 24 VDC Evacuation Strobe

The Gentex GCS24CR Ceiling, 24 VDC Evacuation Strobe is engineered to deliver clear and reliable visual alerting for emergency communication and fire alarm systems. Designed for ceiling mounting, this red strobe operates at 24 VDC and provides bright, synchronized flashes that alert occupants during evacuation scenarios.

Its ceiling-mount form factor allows for broader light dispersion, making it an ideal solution for open indoor areas and high-occupancy spaces.

Optimized Visual Coverage for Ceilings

This strobe features a high-intensity flash designed to meet the visibility requirements of NFPA 72 and UL 1971. Ceiling installation provides uniform light distribution across a larger area than wall-mounted devices, improving visibility for all building occupants. This is particularly useful in places like auditoriums, hallways, and large meeting rooms.

The device includes a red housing and a clear lens, offering a bold appearance while supporting life safety system aesthetics and compliance.

Smooth Integration and Easy Setup

Because the GCS24CR mounts easily to standard electrical boxes, it supports both new installations and upgrades in existing buildings. Its universal backplate and terminal block connections simplify installation for contractors and technicians. Additionally, it works with Gentex synchronization modules to ensure strobes across the system flash together.

This synchronized flashing improves occupant response during alarms and helps avoid disorienting signals in high-density environments.

Reliable Performance and Low Power Consumption

The GCS24CR not only delivers consistent flash intensity, but it also does so while maintaining low current draw. This efficiency allows for longer notification appliance circuits and supports more devices per panel, optimizing system design without sacrificing effectiveness.

Its robust construction and dependable operation make it well-suited for long-term use in educational, healthcare, and commercial facilities.

The Gentex GCS24CR Ceiling, 24 VDC Evacuation Strobe provides high-visibility signaling in a compact and efficient design. With its broad coverage, synchronization capability, and easy installation, it meets the needs of demanding fire alarm and emergency notification systems. Whether you’re equipping a new building or upgrading an existing one, the GCS24CR ensures your ceiling-mounted visual alerts are compliant, powerful, and reliable.
