Edwards WGVRN Outdoor Strobe None Marking Red

The Edwards WGVRN Outdoor Rated Strobe is a high-performance visual notification appliance designed for indoor and outdoor emergency signaling applications. As part of the Edwards Genesis LED WG Series, the WGVRN features a high-efficiency LED strobe housed in a durable red enclosure with no marking, making it ideal for applications requiring a clean appearance or custom identification. Therefore, it delivers dependable visual notification while withstanding harsh environmental conditions in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

Edwards WGVRN Function

The Edwards WGVRN is engineered to provide bright visual notification during emergency events. As a result, occupants receive immediate visual warning, helping improve evacuation and emergency response in areas where audible notification alone may not be sufficient. In addition, the appliance integrates seamlessly with compatible 24VDC notification appliance circuits (NACs) and Genesis synchronization technology.

High-Performance LED Strobe

The WGVRN utilizes advanced high-efficiency LED technology that provides bright, uniform light output while consuming significantly less power than traditional xenon strobes. Consequently, fewer power supplies, smaller wire sizes, and reduced battery capacity may be required during system design. Moreover, the strobe is backward compatible with legacy xenon notification appliances, simplifying retrofit projects.

Field-Selectable Candela Output

The Genesis LED WG Series strobe offers field-selectable 15 and 30 candela settings that can be adjusted during installation without replacing the appliance. Therefore, installers can optimize visual coverage for individual applications while reducing inventory requirements. Furthermore, the selected candela setting remains visible after installation through the appliance’s sealed viewing window.

Outdoor-Rated Construction

The Edwards WGVRN is designed for dependable operation in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. As a result, it features a NEMA 4X / IP66 installation rating (when installed according to manufacturer instructions) with an IP67-compliant device, providing excellent protection against rain, snow, dust, moisture, and wash-down conditions. Additionally, it operates in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 151°F (-40°C to 66°C) for year-round performance.

Red Housing with No Marking

The WGVRN features a durable red housing without FIRE, ALERT, or FUEGO lettering, making it suitable for facilities that require custom labeling or notification appliances without molded identification. Consequently, it provides greater installation flexibility while maintaining the clean architectural appearance of the Genesis LED Series. Additionally, interchangeable Genesis cover skins allow future identification changes if application requirements evolve.
