The IDNet Simplex 4090-9002 Relay (IAM) allows fire alarm control panels to control a remotely located Form “C” contact using IDNet addressable communications for both data and module. Typical applications would be for switching local power for control functions such as elevator control of HVAC, dampers, etc. Relay status is also communicate only one device address.
The Simplex 4090-9002 Relay (IAM) provides the 4008, 4010, 4010ES, 4100U, and 4100ES Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) control of one dry form-C contact set (Normally Open, Normally Closed, and Common). The IAM reports its current state back to the FACP for confirmation of operation via the IDNet channel. The IDNet channel provides the communication link between the IAM and the FACP and powers the entire Relay IAM circuitry.
Also, each Relay has a unique address (1 through 250). The address is set via an eight-position DIP switch, DIP switch position 1 is the least significant bit and position 8 is the most significant bit. The device address for the Relay IAM is write on the re-sealable label. This information provides aid in troubleshooting the system. Low power latching relay design allows IDNet communications to supply both data and module power.
