Edwards I12040A Smoke Fire Alarm (Pack of 6)
The Edwards i12040A – an AC/DC-powered, ionization smoke alarm. That operates on a 120V power source with a 9V battery backup.
This alarm uses ionization sensing technology. Ionization-sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms.
Edwards strongly recommends ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms. Installed to help ensure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur within the home.
This smoke alarm – available in a 6-piece cut case. With a tray for easy display and a 6-piece bulk pack for contractors and property owners. This unit – a UL-listed product with a 10-year limited warranty.
The smoke alarm must – installed to comply with all local codes having jurisdiction.
The resistance of the interconnect wiring shall – a maximum of 10 ohms.
All alarms – wired to a single, continuous (non-switched) power line, which – not protected by a ground fault interrupter. A maximum of 1000 ft. of wire can – used in the interconnect system.
