The Hochiki SLK-12 used in all areas where Photoelectric Smoke Detectors required. Additionally, designed for smoldering and flaming fires which typically caused by such fuel sources as wood, paper and fabric. Also, the HSB-1 2-(X) Series of bases designed for this detector.
Hochiki SLK-12 – The unit comprised of an LED source as well as silicon photo diode receiving element. Furthermore, in a normal standby condition, the receiving element receives no light from pulsing light source. In the event of fire, smoke enters the detector and light is
reflected from the smoke particles to the receiving element. Also, the light received is converted into an electronic signal.
Signals are processed in the comparator circuitry, and when two consecutive signals exceeding the basic level are received within a specified period of time, the time delay circuit triggers the SCR switch to activate the alarm signal. An LED is
contained in the detector base (sold separately), and also continuously illuminates to indicate an alarm condition.
