The Fire-Lite W-SD355 Wireless Smoke Detector uses a state-of-the-art photoelectric sensing chamber to provide open area protection. Also, The Fire-Lite W-SD355 adds thermal sensors that will alarm at a fixed temperature of 135ºF (57ºC). It is intended for use with the Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels. Naturally, the Fire-Lite W-SD355 Wireless Smoke Detector communicates with the panels through a wireless mesh network to the wireless gateway.
Also, wireless detectors create an opportunity for applications where it is costly, obtrusive, or possibly dangerous to use traditional wired devices. In addition, both devices can be present on the same FACP providing an integrate solution for increased installation potential.
In conclusion, all the sensors offer addressable code wheels and two LEDs. The LEDs are control by the panels. Operation modes include red, green, and amber colors with various solid or blink patterns. The mesh network within the SWIFT system creates a relationship between the devices so that each device has two parents providing a second path for communications. If one device can no longer operate for any reason, the rest of the devices can still communicate with each other.
