The Edwards Est RELA-SRV1 service disconnect switch is a key-operated, manual switch station. it has both normally closed and normally open dry contact relay. Also, the switch is use to disconnect the releasing module for servicing.
In general, the Edwards Est RELA-SRV1 service disconnect switch is use to temporarily disable the fire suppression system. In addition, one switch is installed on each of the two release circuits between the SIGA-REL and the RELA-EOL end-of-line relay. Opening the Service Disconnect Switch allows the fire alarm system to be test without activating the fire suppression system. The operation of this switch causes a trouble signal at the control panel.
Installation instructions:
- Install the ground screw in the back of the backplate assembly.
- Connect the lock assembly to the backplate. Pass the threaded portion of the lock assembly through the backplate and secure it with the lock nut. Make sure the keyhole is in a vertical position.
- Push the relay holder onto the back of the lock assembly until it snaps into place. Make sure the releasing lever is point up.
- Wire the relays.
- Mount the backplate assembly to an existing single gang electrical box using the #6-32 screws provided.
- Push the octagon-shaped switch housing piece onto the lock assembly with normal at the top of the keyhole.
- Connect the housing cover to the backplate assembly using the housing screw provided.
